Resident Evil Extinction is about Alice, and she's running with a new pack of humans, with Claire Redfield leading a caravan that's cutting through the Nevada desert on a long trek to Alaska. Hunted by the minions of the perpetually scheming Dr. Isaacs, Alice has zombies hungry for her flesh and lab rats hungry for her blood, while Alice is hungry for only one thing. Revenge.
The film's opening will possibly explain the events that followed after the Raccoon City incident, with an explanation to Jill's and Carlos's survival in the Arklay Mountains.Alice will use her psychokinetic abilities as seen in the ending of Apocalypse. Milla has said, "She has some crazy new powers".
The fate of Alice is yet unknown, unlike Nemesis which was known to fans of the games. The story is said to be very complex, but it will pick up after the events of the Apocalypse.
According to Movies Online, the film will borrow plot elements from Code Veronica. This may also be the reason why Claire makes an appearance in the film.
As stated by Mulcahy in an interview with Fangoria, It is confirmed that several new creatures will appear. Some could be taken from the games series.

Resident Evil 4 movie after Extiniction-The events of the film will take place in Japan where Extinction ended. The release date hasn't been set yet but may eventually be scheduled for either 2008, 2009 or 2010.
The plot details are currently sketchy but will have something to do with the collapse of The Umbrella Corporation and Alice (Milla Jovovich) who has become the latest bio weapon. The events from Extinction have led to Tokyo, Japan.
